The neighborhood sits on the western side of the community and traces its roots back to when Highlands Ranch was converted from a cattle ranch in the early 1980s. It has a well-developed feel with strong infrastructure, mature landscaping in the older sections, and newer construction in areas closer to Backcountry.

Westridge falls within the Douglas County School District. The main schools serving this area are:

The Westridge Recreation Center

The Westridge Rec Center is one of the four HRCA facilities included with your HOA dues. Amenities include two pools, an indoor running track, an indoor turf field, a fitness studio, pickleball courts, and more. It's a well-rounded facility that handles both serious fitness needs and casual family use.

Just outside the rec center, Redstone Park is Westridge's primary green space and includes a playground, skate park, batting cages, and tennis courts. It's the kind of park that actually gets used, which tells you something about the neighborhood.
